The Business Analyst is accountable for describing the business requirements for the German products (ZABIS, Air Cargo Pool, CustomsXchange) in a way that allows design and delivery of solutions that fulfil the business needs of the market space we serve.
The Business Analyst is required to take responsibility for analysis on the most complex development and maintenance tasks, and to take a broader perspective, ensuring solutions are compatible with and complementary to other developments and stakeholder requirements – particularly Product Management.
The Business Analyst is expected to take a primary role on analysis and product design tasks, either as the exclusive analyst resource, or leading an analysis team.
He/she will also be expected to take an active role in promoting and communicating product developments within the Development Department and externally. |
| Aufgaben / Tasks |
- Gather business requirements for an assigned development project or product maintenance activity.
- Analyse business requirements to ensure they are clearly understood.
- Validate and prioritise requirements having regard to existing commitments, commercial imperatives and product strategy, working closely with Product Management.
- Document and communicate the requirements in accordance with approved methodology. Ensure that requirement and design documents are appropriately distributed, reviewed, discussed, modified, and ultimately approved.
- Deliver a product design that fulfils these requirements in a generic way, that is compatible with demands of other stakeholder, both current and future.
- Represent stakeholders within development team, ensuring that developments meet the business requirement and are fit for purpose.
- Work closely with front line support staff, professional services and partners, and customers as required, in order to understand and so help resolve functional issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Assist the development team as necessary in terms of testing fault fixes, customer patches, where there is a high level of complexity.
- Identify and report areas for improvement in both software and documentation.
